Don’t offer car thieves the opportunity to break in. First always remember to Lock your car and take your keys when you get out.

Keep your valuables and personal items out of sight. Items left in the open make your vehicle a more desirable target. If you can take the time to reduce opportunity you are reducing the chances of you becoming a victim .

Car covers can help reduce these chances as well. A thief going through a neighborhood or possibly a parking garage cannot see what is underneath and will not want to take the time to lift it up to see if it is worth stealing, they will most likely just move on to the next car.
