Great Discovery
January 7th, 2009Protect your ride now because you never know when a simple investment could turn into a long lost treasure!
Can you imagine yourself coming across a hidden car covered in almost 50 years of dust? Say that this particular vehicle happened to be one of only 17 ever made, in complete original condition with only a few thousand miles.
Well this is actually a true story that has happened to relatives of an orthopedic surgeon in a garage in England. This extremely rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante is a two-seater sports car. This particular vehicle features a sport wheelbase and was said to be one of Bugatti’s most successful models having each one made by hand with individual details. This eight cylinder engine has a four- speed manual gearbox and can reach 60 mph in just ten seconds with a top speed of 130 mph.
The rediscovered vehicle is going to be auctioned off this coming February in France. Many Car enthusiasts expect this vehicle to auction at nearly $4 Million. Not only does this vehicle have extremely low mileage and feature original condition but was said to originally be owned by a British racecar driver. This 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante may just end up being the most expensive car ever sold at auction.
The moral of this story is make sure to keep your classic cars under protective covers because you never know what it could be worth in 60 years! So again take the time protecting your ride weather its using a car cover, truck cover, or suv cover, this may just help in someday turning your most enjoyable “toy” into someone else’s most desired collectable!
