Keeping your car looking nice isn’t something people do just to attract attention. The process of detailing not only makes your car look great, but protects the paint and ensures that it will continue to look new for years to come. The following list of items are essential to have in order to give your car the care it needs.

If your car is relatively new or has been kept under a quality car cover you can get away with just using:

1. Microfiber towels
2. Black-trim treatment

4. One-step polish or wax
5. Wax applicators

If your car has been neglected you may need items such as:

2. Mild polish or pre-wax cleaner

Use a little extra precaution! Paying more attention to your surroundings such as intersections and driving conditions can prevent minor fender benders! “Based on my experience with cars and conversation I have had with friends, family, colleagues, work peers, and many more the worst car on the market is the Ford Focus. It should not surprise that this is the car I own and drive on a daily basis. The Focus is just another example with the problems with the American automobile in general. The alternator quit on me with less than 20,000 miles, nearly killing me and my roommate at the time. Then the replacement cost $900 and that gave up 20,000 miles later. First of all for a college sophomore $900 was a small fortune and it took me many months to recoup this cost. After I got the car back from the shop a second time, it still had problems and apparently was close to blowing up, I reliable source told me later after I brought the car it a third time. After this, I am convinced this car is out to kill me.

I had a friend who expressed the same complaints I have about her focus. Her alternator also died in the middle of the road, like mine did (mine actually died in the middle of the highway in the Arizona desert in July, you do the math on how horrible this experience was). So, the morale of this sad story is do not take your focus on long road trips, actually if you can avoid purchasing one at all would be your best bet. The price may be attractive, but if you factor in all the future headaches you will deal with when owning this car it is definitely not worth it. Buying a comparable foreign car, such as the Honda Accord or Toyota Corolla, would be a better bet. I know this is very Un-American for me to say but until these American car companies get their act together, stories like this one will continue to plaque FORD and GM. In conclusion, the negative acronym of FORD definitely holds true from this story: (Nearly) Found on Road Dead”.
